| What am I looking for | | | | Shelvd is a social platform for readers that does three things no existing platform does.
First — a personal library experience unlike anything readers have ever seen. I'm keeping the details close for now, but when you see it you'll understand immediately why it changes everything about how people relate to their books.
Second — a real social layer. See what friends are reading, share your shelf, post reviews, recommend books. The way Instagram made photos social, Shelvd makes reading social.
Third — author protection built in. A community powered system to flag price gougers, counterfeit sellers, and review bombers. Readers protecting the authors they love.
The market is real and frustrated. Goodreads has 125M+ users and is one of the most complained about apps on the internet. StoryGraph reached 5M users just by being slightly better. Nobody has built what I'm describing.
Stage: Pre-launch. Live waitlist at myshelvd.com, working Bubble prototype, full brand identity, competitive research done, and monetization strategy mapped out. Built all of this before finding a co-founder because I wanted to prove I'm serious about executing, not just dreaming. |
