| Description | | | | Hi! I’m Kacey. I have six years of experience leading two small start-ups, and though they weren’t a success in the commercial sense, the learning value was immense! Hopefully, third time is the charm. You could best describe me as a product development and branding person. Honestly though, I just do whatever needs to be done. If there’s something we need to learn or something we need to accomplish, I’ll do a deep dive on it until it’s done. I’m a maverick and a Swiss army knife. I’ll design the logo, make the patent drawings, do the CAD modeling, do our bookkeeping, file our trademark, put our product in front of the right people, and stay up until 2 AM making sure our website is updated and our booth looks perfect for the tradeshow. I’m not an engineer, but when my engineer was stuck for about a week, I studied gear ratios for half a day until I could suggest to him the right way to modify the gears—and it worked! ---------------------------------------- I do the work on the ground, but with my head in the sky, because I’m also a visionary. If you’re my co-founder, you’ll need to occasionally tolerate hearing my latest and greatest big concept for our business. Sometimes it has staying power; other times, it will just be the flavor of the day. But when it comes to being practical and doing the work…I am willing. I get very committed once we get going, if I believe in our product or service, and I will do anything in my power to make us successful. Well, not anything anything. I’m not willing to Elizabeth Holmes it. I’m an ethical person, and trust is big for me. But, regardless of whether trust is there yet, at least there can be contracts and test runs. We can do this. I’m easy to work with. I hope we can get to know one another and make something beautiful that the world needs! |
